<code> NYK advances to the NC Championship winning 4-1 against GTY in the NC divisional series. Differences of 2,1,1,3,1 decided the series.
In a feat that's unlikely to ever be repeated, NYK managed to score 5 on CY Young winners Burnes (2x) and Alcantara. Yordan Alvarez notched several key hits, including a winning solo shot in game 2 and a grand slam in game 5, on his way to being named the series' MVP.
GTY Manager Brent Cunningham declined an interview request after the series but bystanders distinctly heard “1-for-20 Bo Bichette” being cursed under his breath.
