This is an old revision of the document!

handling day-to-day (DTD) status

1. DTD rolls should be resolved before the start of every game. In the case of a double-header, the DTD roll determines availability for both games.

2. Players can only carry DTD status over to one additional series. If a player becomes DTD during his home series it carries over to the road series the following week, and if he becomes DTD during his road series then it carries over to the home series the following week. This means that players can fail no more than 5 consecutive DTD rolls (the last 2 games of the current series + the next 3 games in the following series) before becoming available to play.

3. Injury reporting remains exactly the same as before, except that you should add the text “DTD” to the injury description for any player that remains DTD going into the following series, along with how many DTD rolls he has failed (will always be 0, 1, or 2). Report time missed due to failed DTD rolls the same as regular injury time, do not record it separately.

4. Don't forget that players returning from injury are not immediately available to play. They are considered DTD and must make their DTD roll before playing. If a player is reported by the Registrar as being available on home day 2 of week 5, that means that he is considered DTD starting on home day 2 of week 5. (need Commish ruling here about how inactive players become healthy)

5. Days off are ignored for the purposes of DTD. A player who was DTD prior to an off-day is still considered DTD after the off-day. Furthermore, off-days do not give the player a -1 adjustment to future DTD rolls.

6. Players who are DTD can be used to satisfy legal active roster requirements.

Add your injury reporting examples here:

ex1: McCann injured by a foul tip in game 1 and remains DTD after failing two DTD rolls (before g2 and g3)

1 c MCM ATL McCann 3 days, foul tip g1, DTD(2)

ex2: Rivera was removed from g3 because of a blister and is considered DTD going into the next series

3 p MCM NYA Rivera 1 day, removed due to blister g3, DTD(0)

ex3: Rodriguez spiked and removed in game 1, failed DTD roll in game 2, made DTD roll and played in game 3

1 2b MCM TB Rodriguez 2 days, spiked g1
