SCORES
SCS 1 0 6 5
GTY 3 3 2 8

Overall, a very tough, hard fought series by both teams. There were just a ton of rolls right on the cusp
of ranges, and some key plays (and not-plays) that made a difference.

Game One
SCS jumps out in the 2nd on a Lindor solo home run off Morton. GTY comes right back in the b:2 with a Merrifield solo shot, then a Bichette single, scoring Bell, in the third to make it 2-1. SCS loaded the
bases with one out in the 5th, but failed to score as Morton struck out Voit and Dozier to end the inning.
GTY scored in b:5 as Marisnick was hit by a pitch and Bell doubled him home. The scoring stopped there as Morton went 6.2 then turned it over to Kintzler, Britton, and Baez who pitched the final 2.1 allowing only
1 base-runner. GTY 3, SCS 1. W: Morton L: Bieber S: Baez

Game Two
All the scoring in this one happened in the bottom of the first, as Merrifield reached on a fielder's
choice, scored on a Bell double, which was followed by a Garver 2-run homer to make it 3-0 GTY. Bauer, Gallegos, Ottavino, and Leclerc shut GTY down after that, allowing only 2 more hits and two walks. GTY pitching was too strong though, as Paddack went 5.2 IP. A weird 4th inning as Olson led off with a 2 base error, advancing to third on a warning track show by Ramirez. Dickerson then rolled a potential E-6, but rollbot went Bichette's way as he fielded it cleanly with Olson trying to score. Bichette threw him out
at the plate as Dickerson moved to second. Paddack got out unscathed 2 batters later. GTY's pen came up
big as Kintzler, Hand, Lugo, and Britton went 3.2 scoreless innings. GTY 3, SCS 0. W: Paddack
L: Bauer S: Britton

Game Three
This one was pretty much all SCS as the bats came to life. Teheran went 6.1 strong innings, allowing only
2 runs on 6 hits, the runs a result of a LeMahieu single and Bell home run. GTY loaded the bases with 1
out against Smith in the 9th, but Smith struck out Ervin and Gallegos struck out Long to end it. SCS
scored two in the 2nd on a Vogt RBI double and Pillar RBI single, then Vogt jacked a solo shot and Alberto scored an unearned run off hand in the 5th. SCS finished their scoring in the 6th on a 2-run HR by pinch-hitter Corey Dickerson. Besides losing the game, GTY lost Lugo for 6 days with a post-game arm injury.
SCS 6, GTY 2. W: Teheran L: Skaggs S: Gallegos

Game Four
An exciting game with lots of scoring as GTY jumped out big only to see the lead dwindle. SCS opened the scoring in the first with an Olson infield single scoring Hiura. GTY stormed back in the second, batting around and getting an RBI single from Marisnick, an RBI single from LeMahieu, and a 3-run dinger from Bell. GTY scored another run on another Marisnick RBI single in the third to make the score 6-1, then gave one up
in the bottom half on an Olson RBI double. Marisnick stayed hot in the 5th, blasting a solo home run, only
to see a pinch-hit 2-run homer off of Hand in the bottom half to make it 7-4 GTY. Rojas smacked a solo HR
in the bottom of the 6th making it 7-5 (Hand having faced 4 batters and giving up 2 HR). Marisnick came through in the 7th again, hitting a sac fly to CF, scoring Soler to make it 8-5. There the scoring would
stay, as Kintler got the third out of the inning, then Baez pitched into the 9th, at which point Glasnow
came in for his only appearance of the series to get the last two outs and the save. GTY 8, SCS 5.
W: Morton L: Bieber S: Glasnow
