 out of their pen.  The series featured dominant starting pitching, 2 extra inning games, plenty of excitement
 on the basepaths, and key injuries on both teams.

 the SPO starter was removed from the game with an arm injury.  SPO answered in b1 with 2 unearned runs thanks

 G3: HillR. (18-10 4.09 ERA) v Wang (16-9 3.78 ERA).  SDQ took an early 2-0 lead with a Ryan solo HR in b2 and
 a Hopper RBI single in b3.  Wang had only allowed 1 in in first 4 IP, but 4 1 out singles, including a infield
 single on a bunt attempt gave SPO a 3-2 lead.  A Robert RBI double extended the SPO lead to 4-2, but SDQ
 cameback with a Theriot solo HR in b8.  In b9, with Isringhausen on the hill, Bonds hit a ph single, then
 Bourn stole 2nd and third and scored when the Paulino threw the ball away.  Unfortunately, SDQ's MIL Miller
 was injured in the same inning and Todd Helton had to take over behind the plate going into t10.  SDQ's KC
 Bannister took over for t10 and SPO  got a Rios leadoff 2b, a Lee BB, and a Phillips RBI single to take the
 lead.  SDQ got 2 runners on in b10 with 1 out, but could Isringhausen closed the deal to give SPO the 2-1

 pitcher.  Buehrle pitched a complete game gem allowing only a Phillips solo HR in t7 to prevent a shutout.
 SDQ offense got started early against Burnett, pitching on short rest, with 2 runs in b2 and 1 in b3, though
 lost DET Guillen to injury whilst stealing 2nd.  SDQ added 2 more runs in b5 without a hit, but with 4 walks

 SDQ:  CHA Buehrle  9 IP, 6 H, 1 ER, 1 BB, 4 K
 G5: Escobar (0-1 3.38) v Wakefield (20-8 3.29 ERA).  An exciting extra inning game that featured 8 steals by
 SPO, lots of offense, but little scoring thanks to clutch pitching.  SDQ scored 2 in t1, but SPO responded
 with 2 in b1, and stole 4 bases in the process!  The game stayed at 2-2 until b4, when SPO took a 3-2 lead
 without the benefit of a hit.  A Barry Bonds 2 run HR in t5 gave SDQ the 4-3 lead, which only lasted until b6
 when a Beltre RBI ground out tied the game at 4.  After all the offense of the first 6 innings, the teams
 respective bullpens took the mound and each put up zeros until t11, when Loney lead off with a 3B and Theriot
 hit a 1 out RBI 2B to give SDQ the 5-4 lead.  MIN Guerrier pitched a perfect b11 for the save and series
